Back by popular demand, we’re delighted to welcome Fide Master Christopher Dunworth to run the Summer Term Chess Club.
Our Chess Club is open to all boys and girls in Years 2 to Year 9 and has so far been a huge success with over 20 students in attendance, from complete novices to budding champions.
One student said: “It’s my first time at chess club and I’m really enjoying myself. Christopher is really talented and it’s nice of him to share his chess skills with us.”
Headmaster Tom Brooksby said: “Christopher is an experienced ECF National Chess Coach, former British Lightning Champion (10 seconds per move) and founder of the 4NCL, and we’re delighted to have him leading our Summer Chess Club for another term. We hope our students enjoy learning from the best.”
Summer Term Chess Club sessions are taking place on the following dates: 18th and 25th April, 9th, 16th and 23rd May, 6th, 13th, 20th and 27th June, 4th and 11th July.
