Joining the thousands of 16 year olds across the UK collecting GCSE results today, five of our students capped another excellent year of results, achieving straight A and A* grades.
Special congratulations go to Amelia Teal, Basia Wolinska, Sarah Cullen, Sally Frankish and Polly To, who each achieved straight A* and A grades.
Headmaster Tom Brooksby joined students staff and parents in celebrating this year’s results: “I am delighted to report another year of excellent grades at GCSE (and iGCSE), particularly our 100 per cent Mathematics pass rate. Once again our students have worked extremely hard to realise their potential, as have my outstanding teaching staff. They are a credit to the school and their parents and I look forward to welcoming them back into our thriving Sixth Form.”
Amanda Redgate, Chair of Governors, Ockbrook School, adds: “This has been another excellent year for the school. We prepare our students to achieve academically, whilst focusing on their personal development. It is this preparation for life beyond school that sets our students apart in terms of maturity and preparedness for the next step in life’s adventures. Well done to all.”
