21.08.20 - GCSE/iGCSE Success at Ockbrook School

After many months of uncertainty, Year 11 pupils are delighted to pick up their GCSE and International GCSE results.

“It has been an emotional rollercoaster but this brilliant group of young people are one of the most talented and capable we have seen”, enthused Tom Brooksby, headmaster of the coeducational independent school.  “They have had the most stressful experience but they have come through it admirably and they are all excited about their next steps in life”.

Mr Brooksby continued, “Warmest congratulations to all of our Year 11 and their dedicated teachers, they have achieved a great deal together and made myself and the School very proud”.

Ockbrook School achieved a 100% pass rate with 98% grades 9 – 4, 88% grades 9 – 5 and 53% grades 9 – 7.  Exceptional performances from Emily Lamont with 10 x grade 9 and Annie Hampshire with 8 x grade 9 and 2 x grade 8.
